Turkish Patent and Trademark Office completed the necessary technical and administrative work and participated in the Digital Access Service (DAS) of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
TURKPATENT started its activities within the DAS system as of June 1, 2022.
“The DAS system ensures that priority right documents are shared securely electronically between official IP Offices operating at the national and international level.”
TURKPATENT's integration into the DAS system will provide significant convenience to applicants / patent and trademark attorneys.
The priority right documents that the applicants will request for their patent, utility model, trademark and design applications to our TURKPATENT will be uploaded directly to the DAS system by TURKPATENT and the access code to be automatically generated for use in foreign applications will be forwarded to the applicant.
In this way, the necessity of paying the priority right certificate fee separately for each of the applications that the applicants will make to different IP offices and physically sending the priority right documents to the relevant IP offices will be eliminated.
